PROBALE HAYLAGE IS FULLY ANALYSED

As each individual batch of ProBale Haylage will vary the figures used below are for example only.

  • Dry Matter Content (DM)70%
  • Crude Protein9%
  • Ash6%
  • Digestible Energy (DE)6%
  • Metabolisable Energy (ME)9%
  • Neutral Detergent Fibre (NDF)64%
  • Acid Detergent Fibre (ADF)36%
  • PH6%

ANALYSIS INFORMATION

  • DRY MATTER

Dry Matter (DM) value represents the moisture content, i.e. a low DM = wet sample and vice versa. The lower the DM the more susceptible to mould spores.

  • CRUDE PROTEIN

Crude Protein value will show the total protein present in the bale, including the combination of amino acids which help with growth, muscle development and tissue repair.

  • DIGESTIBLE ENERGY

Digestible Energy (DE) shows the amount of energy present of which the horse is capable of digesting.

  • NEUTRAL
    DETERGENT FIBRE

Neutral Detergent Fibre (NDF) value will show the digestibility i.e. a low NDF indicates high digestibility and a high NDF will be poor digestibility.

  • PH

The ideal pH for haylage is between 4 – 6%.
